Not all the reviews are glowing, in fact a few are quite nasty, but then some people are like that and some people just have different tastes. Some see the movie as a reasonable effort by a group of first timers overcoming many obstacles with little budget (and even smaller pay) and some compare with 'A' grade big budget movies.
The funny thing is that many reviews call the plot unbelievable, but have gone on the record saying that "Chocolate" was a very good movie - a retarded girl learns Muay Thai/Kung Fu by watching TV - and that's believable?
